Celtic Frost - Live in Fort Worth 2006

Completely badass. Best show in years.

First of all, if you have never been to the Ridglea Theater in Ft. Worth Texas, that place is one of the best venues for underground music ever. Awesome PA system, nice sized "dance" floor (LOL), ample permanent seating elevated behind the floor, 2 bars in separate locations, clean restrooms (which is a real rarity) and it's easy to find with free parking!!!

Last night the show was 27 bucks and there were only 2 bands: Goatwhore and Celtic Frost. I have seen Goatwhore alot of times, I am sure you have too. I will skip commenting on them except to say they were as good as always.

However, Celtic Frost played old school dark tunes for the majority of the set, alot of them were slowed down to DOOOOM tempo, which made it heavy as hell. The system in the Ridglea was tuned perfectly, and this was heavier than anything I have seen in a long time. They even played an old tune from Hellhammer, the band name before they became Celtic Frost. They only played 1 song of the new Monotheist album, which was disappointing because I love the new album. However, I love Morbid Tales and Into The Pandemonium ALOT, and never got to see Celtic Frost back then because I was too young.

Altogether, if you have a chance to catch the end of this tour, FUCKING GO. I don't give a shit if you have diareah hanging out of your asshole, put on a Depends diaper and go anyway. I almost considered flying to another state to catch another show, that's how good they were. They have badass tour T-shirts too!

GO GO GO GO GO!!!!
